Designation of Post:- Construction Engineer (HRM 579)

No of Vacancies:- 01 Position

Location:- Colombo

Basic Salary:- Rs. 120,000/-

Qualification & Experience

• B.Sc. in (Civil) Engineering from a recognized institution. (Preferred Chartered Engineer).
• Minimum of 5 years experience in similar capacity.
• Previous work experience in an Humanitarian organization will be an advantage

Competencies Required

• Excellent supervision skills and ability to maintain quality and standards in construction work.
• Proven record of handling large scale building and civil construction projects.
• Ability to compile site, progress, scheme commissioning, project completion and other reports.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Coordination and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travelisland wide when required.
• Should be a quick learner with the ability gain a solid understanding of participatory processes, joint management measures, community empowerment techniques, capacity building interventions and gender issues.
• Self-motivated and with an ability to work independently under difficult circumstances.
• A team player with the ability to achieve results through cooperation and collaboration.
• Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Fundamental Principles
• To uphold and respect the dignity of all Red Cross personnel and the people, that we the Red Cross serve

The appointment will be on Contract Basis, with the possibility of extension dependant on program requirements.
