Education Qualification

1. Should have passed G.C.E(O/L) Examination in six subjects with four credit passes for language/ Literature, Arithmatic/Maths, Science and one other subject in not more than two sittings

and

2. Should have passed G.C.E (A/L) in three Science subjects including two subjects out of Botany, Zoology, Agriculture and Chemistry in one sitting (in case of having to offer four subjects in A/L

or

3. Should have passed G.C.E (A/L) in three Science subjects including two subjects out of Botany, Agriculture and Chemistry (in case of having to offer three subjects in A/L

Professional Qualification

1. Two year Diploma in Agriculture issed by Agriculture colleges in Kundasale, Angunakolapalassa, Peivehera, Labudiwa, Karapincha, Wariyapola, Bibile, Vavuniya and Anuradhapura

or

2. The two year Diploma in Agriculture issued by Hardy Technical College Ampara

or

3. The two year Diploma in Agriculture issued by aquainas College

or

4. Should have obtaine equal of higher technical qualifications mentioned above, recognized by the Sri Lanka Technical Service Board or North Western Public Service Commission
